Single Family Home

Project:  Tornado Damage - Restoration

Challenges:
  • Tornado destroyed this 2,200 square foot single-family home.
  • Demolition was required, brining the structure back down to its foundation.

CATCO’s Solution:

  • The home was completely rebuilt from the foundation to the roof.
  • Homeowner took the opportunity to make some subtle changes in the design and add custom finishes
  • Work was complete and the homeowner was home within 6 months.





Ursuline Academy

Project: Early Childhood Center

Challenges:
  • 16,000 square foot building housing classrooms and storage/laundry facility.
  • Building sat on a slab that often flooded.


CATCO’s Solution:

  • Removed 4,000 square feet of the foundation and backfilled the area, thereby removing the potential for future water damage.
  • Worked with local architectural firm and CATCO served as General Contractor.
  • Replaced the gym flooring in new building.
  • Conducted extensive mold remediation.
  • Converted the 10,000 square foot gymnasium into a new multi-purpose building housing dance studio, etc. by adding 7,000 square feet of new construction.

School Auditorium,
Restoration & New Construction


Project: School Auditorium

Challenges:
  • School auditorium seating 1,000 people.
  • Massive flooding in the area left the building standing in 6 feet of water.
  • The cinder block walls had moisture throughout and the electrical system was completely ruined.

CATCO’s Solution:
  • Completely dried the walls and floors in order to allow the addition of new plaster and to prevent future peeling.
  • Converted to 850 seat auditorium with expanded stage creating a true performance theater with space for larger productions
  • Installed elevated seating along the sides thereby enhancing the viewing opportunities.
