Project: Single Family Home, Bridgeton, Missouri


Challenge:
  • The fire started in the middle of the night at or near the front porch, it spread quickly and reached the roofline of the home.
  • The interior of the home sustained heavy smoke damage, water damage and the home’s structural system was weakened throughout two floors.

CATCO's Solution:
  • Inspected and determined the effect based on fire, water and smoke damage.
  • Performed selected demolition.
  • Safe and stable portions were retained and restored while new framing was built to match the home’s original features. In this case, the entire side of the house and the roofline needed reframing.




Commercial Kitchen

Project: Restaurant - Kitchen Restoration


Challenges:
  • Fire broke out in the kitchen this well-known restaurant in the St. Louis Hill neighborhood.
  • Soot and smoke damage was found throughout the restaurant and bar as well as in the lower level basement and second floor of the building.

CATCO’s Solution:

  • Everything in the kitchen was replaced.
  • Materials in the dining room and bar area were cleaned and replaced.
  • Ceiling tiles were cleaned and replaced as was the flooring throughout the restaurant
  • The furniture was also cleaned and restored throughout the building.


 

Regional Grocery Chain

Project: Regional Grocery Chain


Challenges:
  • 68,000 square foot grocery store.
  • Fire started in meat refrigeration units and spread in the surrounding area.
  • Light to moderate soot was found throughout the store.

CATCO’s Solution:
  • Cleaning and decontamination of all of the cooling units and the surrounding area.
  • Cleaned and replaced air conditioning units and ceiling tiles.
  • Mechanical hygiene - cleaned the complete air delivery system throughout the store.
  • Estimated 15 days of work and completed in the job in 9 days, allowing the store to reopen fully ahead of schedule.
